The Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors Veterans Sailing Program (BAADS) provides veterans the opportunity to sail Access 303 and Access Liberty boats with other veterans every Sunday.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

 

Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors is a( 501(c)3 tax #94-3067409) charitable organization dedicated to providing sailing and race programs on Keel boats and Dinghy's to people with all disabilities. Participants vary from novice to expert. Through the sailing programs, they learn to sail by themselves and as part of a crew on boats specially rigged with adaptive features, thus making it possible to sail the San Francisco Bay. Since 1987, BAADS has been and all-volunteer organization relying on donations and grants to provide the best sailing opportunities to its members. Located at the South Beach Yacht Club at pier 40, adjacent to AT&T Park.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

All experienced levels are invited and encouraged to come learn, sail and even race if interested. This is a great way to experience on the water activities purely for recreation or to pursue the education provided. This Veterans Sailing program is offered to all Veterans and their families disabled or not. We respect and thank you for your service and offer this free program each and every Sunday with no obligations besides a RSVP to enable us to successfully accommodate all guests.
